Kate Beynon

Kate is a highly experienced physiotherapist who has helped countless patients recover from pain and injury and improve their overall physical well-being. She earned her first-class honours degree in Physiotherapy from Kings College London in 2003 and gained membership to the Health Care Professionals Council in the same year.

Kate's early career was spent working for Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust where she gained valuable experience across a range of specialties including musculoskeletal outpatients, neurological rehabilitation, orthopaedics, ITU, and palliative care. After her time at Brighton, Kate decided to specialise in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, working for both the Hertfordshire NHS Trust and the private sector.

Kate understands the impact that long-term pain can have on your mental and physical health. As a new mother, she experienced persistent pain and disability, which led her to take a career break from physiotherapy in order to prioritise her own health. During this period, she discovered the value of mindfulness-based pain management techniques, which played a vital role in supporting her own recovery. As a certified Breathworks Mindfulness teacher, she is now able to incorporate this approach into her physiotherapy practice, allowing her patients to benefit from this unique perspective.

Whether patients are suffering with an acute injury or a more long-term problem, Kate is committed to really listening to her patients’ needs in order to provide personalised care and support. She utilizes a variety of techniques and modalities, such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, breath pattern re-education and mindfulness training to help patients achieve their goals, reduce stress and improve their overall well-being.

In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time in nature with her friends and family, walking her dog, and lake swimming when it's warm enough!

With her wealth of knowledge and experience, and her personal experience of recovery from persistent pain, Kate is dedicated to helping patients achieve lasting improvements in their overall health and well-being through a holistic and patient-centred approach.

Testimonials

Kate’s ability to question & listen and her generosity in sharing her knowledge of research and helpful support material, have transformed my outlook.  I no longer feel resigned to a life of pain which can exhaust me and depress me, because Kate has given me the tools to drastically reduce that pain.

I cannot praise Kate as a physiotherapist highly enough.

I have just completed five sessions with Kate Beynon, which have been literally life changing.

I initially booked to see her last December for physiotherapy for a frozen shoulder. After the first two sessions with her and after following her advice and her exercises, my shoulder was pain-free and almost fully mobile, which was fantastic.
